The CCA Team

The CCA is supported by dozens of willing individuals who believe in the value of safe and thriving accredited camps across Canada.

Each and every member of the CCA team - from staff, to board, to committee members, are dedicated to the flourishing of every summer camp, in every province and territory.

Executive Director

Matt Wilfrid

As the CCA’s Executive Director and sole staff member, Matt works in close partnership with the CCA Board of Directors & Committees to lead the execution of the CCA’s mission to unite provincial camp associations, industry leaders and like-minded organizations and to elevate and advocate for the Canadian camp sector.

Matt’s history in camping includes his time as a camper, seasonal staff, full-time director at four different camps and a consultant and podcast producer with the Go Camp Pro team.

Matt has spoken at conferences across North America including the OCA, SCA, MCA, PCCCA and has received awards from the American Camping Association and Ontario Camps Association for his commitment to the industry at large.

When not on Zoom, Matt can be found on the trails around Brantford, Ontario with his partner, daughter and dog.
